India says its forces have shot down an unmanned Pakistani spy plane - 2003-02-06

India's military says its forces have shot down an unmanned Pakistani spy plane over the disputed region of Kashmir.

An Indian army spokesman said the plane was shot down today (Wednesday) when it entered Indian airspace. He said debris from the plane was found nearly 400 meters inside Indian-Kashmir. There was no immediate response from Islamabad.

Last week, Pakistan said it had shot down an unmanned Indian spy-plane over Pakistani-Kashmir. India said no such incident happened.
