Ambassador Islam Talks about Bangla- Japan Relationship

Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Japan Sirajul Islam says that Japan is the largest donor country in Bangladesh and since 1972 when the diplomatic relationship between two countries was established , Japan has been of great assistance to Bangladesh.

In an exclusive interview with VOA Bangla Service, Ambassador Islam says that most of the Japanese donations and assistance for Bangladesh are used for infra structural developments. Sirajul Islam says that there are about ten thousand people from Bangladesh who live in Japan. He says that the number of illegal Bangladeshi residence in Japan are more than those who are legal residents. Ambassador Islam says that although the embassy in Japan gives all assistance to the citizens of Bangladesh , the illegal residents never approach the embassy. The number of legal residents from Bangladesh in Japan is around three thousand. He also talks about Shaheed Minar in Tokyo which symbolizes the deep friendship between Japan and Bangladesh.
