Major General (Retd) Azizur Rahman, Executive Director of Bangladesh Center for Strategic & Peace Study said that the terrorist attack in London was a heinous act and those allegedly have accepted the responsibility for the crime has only helped to divide the world. In an exclusive interview with VOA, General Rahman said that it was done in a very planned way and was timed well. It was a time when the focus of the world was on London as a host city for 2012 Olympics as well as on G-8 Summit in Scotland. He also said that the claims that has been made by a group having link with Al Qaida has once again embarrassed the Muslims. He also requested the West not to be very conclusive on this issue. In the meantime, security in the diplomatic zones in Bangladesh has been increased.
