Fourteen Indian Miners Feared Dead After Mine Flooding

Officials in the eastern Indian state of Jharkhand say 14 miners are feared dead after rush a of water caused a coal mine to collapse Wednesday.

Officials say rescuers are trying to pump the water from the mine, but they say the chances of finding anybody alive are fading. There have been no contact with the trapped miners.

A local government administrator said it will take up to three days to clear the mine, after which the rescuers will be able to go down and assess the situation.
