SAARC  Submit Rescheduled For November

Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz says the twice-postponed South Asian summit in Bangladesh has been rescheduled for mid-November. Mr. Aziz, whose country holds the current chair of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation, said on Saturday the regional summit will be held November 12 and 13 in Dhaka. He added that all leaders of the seven-nation group have agreed on the rescheduled dates. The summit was delayed in January after the tsunami. It was rescheduled for February, but India withdrew citing the security situation in Bangladesh and the political crisis in Nepal. SAARC is a seven-nation group supporting economic and social development in South Asia. Member countries include India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan and the Maldives.
