Lalit Mansingh, a former foreign secretary and former ambassador of India who is now a prominent member of Indian think-tank attended a conference on South Asian Countries in the University of Maryland.
In an exclusive interview with VOA Bangla Service Mr. Mansingh talks about the enormous potential of natural resources in South Asia. He emphasizes on looking at South Asia as an integrated economic entity rather than as a politically divisive region.
He says that the differences between Bangladesh and India are often exaggerated but whatever the differences are they can be resolved.
