India, Bangladesh Ready to Discuss Bilateral Irritants

Bangladeshi Foreign Minister Morshed Khan says India is ready to resolve all bilateral irritants with Bangladesh through discussions. Mr. Khan made the remarks as he returned from an Afro-Asian summit in Jakarta where he also met Indian leaders.

He said Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh told him that he hopes that all irritants can be resolved at the foreign minister level of the two countries. Mr. Khan also met with Indian External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh and quoted him as saying that India wants to see holding of a twice-postponed South Asian (SAARC) summit in Dhaka sooner than later.
