Two Indonesian Journalists Kidnapped in Iraq

Insurgents in Iraq have released a videotape showing two Indonesian journalists missing since Tuesday, who now appear to have been kidnapped in the turbulent city of Ramadi. The man (Budiyanto) and woman (Meutya Viada Hafid) are shown in the video holding up documents identifying them as the missing Indonesian Metro TV reporters. A group calling itself the Mujaheeden in Iraq claimed to be holding them. In Jakarta, Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono appealed for the pair's release. He said they went to Iraq "with friendship and professional tasks" to report on a situation which is of great concern to Indonesia -- the world's largest Muslim nation.
