Topic: 2 Forcibly Displaced Myanmar National (FDMN) Rohingya Concern for not Getting Sufficient, Fresh and Eatable Food.
Translation summary: A Forcibly Displaced Myanmar National (FDMN) Rohingya, namely Ali Ahammed (23), Resident of Kutupalong camp#03 said to VOA that World Food Program (WFP) has been providing 21-food items worth 931.85 Takas to every single Rohingya (per head) for a month. And the amount the foods items are fixed: such as Rice 1KG = 49.00-taka, Lentil-Red 1KG =66.00 takas, Oil-Soybean 1L= 126 Takas, Sugar-Refined 1KG=66.00 Takas, Garlic 1KG= 106.00 Takas, Chili-Dry 1KG=196.00 Takas, Turmeric 1KG=110.00 Takas, Egg 1 Pieces 7.5 Takas and so on. But 931.85 takas for a person is not sufficient, especially for those who are young and elder age that’s why the family, which has no children suffer very much with insufficient food. Besides, Ali said that most of the foods items that WFP is providing to Rohingya are not edible . They are at times rotten. Though the Rohingyas have complained , WFP did not take any decision to solve it.
Another a Forcibly Displacement Myanmar National (FDMN) Rohingya, namely Hajee Oli Ullah (47) said to VOA that WFP had provided foods items of amount 1111.30 takas to every single Rohingya in every month. Also, fresh vegetables, rice and others food items are provided too that is why Rohingya could take their meals buying meat, fish and other necessary things for their family after selling the rice and lentils.
At the end, both Ali and Oli said that on the one hand, the senior staffs of the World Food Program do not try to consult with Rohingya regarding food supply problems. On the other hand, the junior staff of WFP who are at food distribution points behave rudely with Rohingya as well. So, we want to request to the WFP, government of Bangladesh and the international community to
