The main opposition party in Bangladesh, Awami League, is urging other political parties to unite and start a movement against the government. Sheikh Hasina in an interview with VOA said that people who believe in democracy want the government to resign. She also said that if this government remains in power people will lose all security. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia wanted to meet with Sheikh Hasina but her emissary was told that it would not be possible.
