In an interview with VOA Bangla Service , Priya Ranjan Das Munshi , Indian Minister for Water Resources said that in his talks with Bangladeshi foreign minister he had said that humane approach should me made for solving the watrer problem. He , however, said that Bangladesh gets more volume of water from Farakka than has been mentioned in Indo-Bangla Ganges Water Treaty .
The newly appointed Indian WAter Resources' minister Mr Das Munshi says his priorities are finding a solution to sharing of Kaveri Water, strengthening water management of International Rivers and linking the domestic rivers.
