Bangladesh Development Forum, BDF, opened its meeting in Dhaka on Saturday. Prime Minister of Bangladesh Begum Khaleda Zia inaugurated the meeting and reaffirmed her commitment to establish a government which will be accountable. The Prime Minister sought continued support of Bangladesh's 32 development partners to carry forward her poverty reduction initiatives. Finance and Planning Minister M Saifur Rahman, World Bank Vice-President for South Asia Region Praful C. Patel and International Monetary Fund Representative Nissanke Weeransinghe also addressed the inaugural function of the regular annual convention of the development partners of Bangladesh.
