Two days of incessant rain in Bangladesh’s northern areas have flooded Rangpur, Kurigram, Gaibandha, Nilphamari and Lalmonirhat.
At least 50,000 people are marooned due to flooding. Some of the flood control embankments have become vulnerable because the water level in the rivers in those areas has risen.
