Bangladeshi Prime Minister Khaleda Zia is in Japan for an official visit expected to focus on bilateral trade relations and Japanese investment in a Bangladeshi bridge project.
Begum Zia arrived in Tokyo late Monday. She will remain in Japan for most of the week and plans to meet her Japanese counterpart Junichiro Koizumi on Thursday.
Topics of discussion are expected to include Bangladesh's current trade deficit with Tokyo, Japanese training of Bangladeshi workers and Japanese investment in the Padma bridge project.
