A city Awami League leader was gunned down in broad daylight near his residence at Tejkunipara in Dhaka.
Law Secretary of City AL, Advocate Khorshed Alam Bachhu was killed by unknown gunmen.
Advocate Alam came out of his residence in the morning to go to Court. A gang of miscreants opened indiscriminate fire at the AL leader and fled. He died on the spot. No one has been arrested yet in connection with the murder.
AL General Secretary Abdul Jalil condemned the killing. Immediately after the killing, Dhaka city unit of AL called a dawn-to-dusk hartal on Wednesday in the metropolitan area. Zahurul Alam has more on the story.
