FBI special agent Trung Vu, accompanied by two other US intelligent personnel, on Sunday visited Boiddyer Bazar where former Finance Minister Shah AMS Kibria came under a fatal grenade attack on January 27. Police.They went for the spot inspection at about 11:30am and stayed there about two hours examining the scene and its surroundings.
The investigators had a probing look at Zilanee Sawmill close by the Boiddyer Bazar Government Primary School ground, the spot of the grenade attack. In the sawmill, the main suspect, BNP leader Qaiyum, had reportedly held a meeting previously. They also took video of the spot as part of the inquest.
Later, the US investigators went to Habiganj jail where they questioned the principal charge-sheeted accused, Qaiyum, and others for an hour. Out of total 10 suspects charge-sheeted, eight are confined to the Habiganj prison.
