In an exclusive interview with VOA Bangla Service, Ariful Rahman, the Executive Director of YPSA talks about the creation and the mission of this organization. YPSA (Young Power in Social Action) is a voluntary, nonprofit, social development organization registered with different departments of Bangladesh.
Mr. Rahman says that YPSA envisions a society without poverty,
where everyone's basic needs and rights are ensured. He adds that YPSA exists to participate with the poor and vulnerable population with a commitment to bring about personal and societal sustainable
development. With the initiative of a socially-conscious youth, YPSA began its course of participation in the
development process on May 20, 1985.
Their contributions to health and water sanitation, disaster management,
and IT education is widely recognized in the Chittagong Region.
Arifur Rahman is also an active member of VOA fan club.
